Please help the homeless men of Franklin County by donating new and used men’s coats, gloves, socks, and sock caps.
During our services on Sunday, December 22 you will bring forward your Lottie Moon Christmas Offering during our annual “Walk to the Manger.”
Join us Sunday, November 24 at 5:00 p.m. for a screening of the documentary movie, “The Insanity of God.”
The Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church Deacons would like to invite our widows and widowers to attend a special banquet on Saturday, December 7.
We collect for OCC all year round culminating in our church-wide packing party November 17 at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall.
Each day for 25 days beginning Nov. 7 we challenge you to add an item of food to a donation box or bag and bring those items as an offering to our Dec. 1 Chrismon Service.
Forms are available at the Welcome Center now to sponsor a child this Christmas. God’s Appalachian Partnership (GAP) assists parents who are in need in Eastern KY by helping them give their children quality gifts each Christmas.
On Tuesday, Nov. 5 our WMU is sponsoring a day trip to Cedar Ridge Ministry in Williamsburg, KY.
Manna House Food Pantry
Manna House is open to anyone in our community who faces a food or clothing emergency.
We offer clients the opportunity to “shop” twice a month in the food pantry located in the Parsonage Basement, across the street from the Main Church Building.

- Pick up bread at Panera Bread on Friday Nights
- Greet & help distribute clothing during our Saturday hours

- spaghetti sauce
- ramen noodles
Each Monday evening and all throughout the week our pastors and church members visit people in the community. Visits are made to church guests, church members, those in the hospital or in a nursing home, shut-ins, etc. If you would like to serve in this important outreach ministry, please join us Monday nights at 6pm in the church office or send us an email to let us know you’d like to get involved.
The CROSS Center
We are blessed to offer the CROSS Center Recreation Center to our community. The CROSS in CROSS Center stands for “Christian Recreation Outreach Strengthening Souls.” We want every person that comes through our doors to feel the warmth of the Holy Spirit. Our CROSS Center volunteers are a key part of this and we are always looking for people to serve. If you would be interested in serving at the CROSS Center or just seeing where you might fit in, send us an email.
God’s Appalachian Partnership
The Missions Committee sponsors several trips each year to help out this great ministry in McDowell, KY.
God’s Appalachian Partnership (GAP) serves an average of 325 families in the McDowell area each month.
