Grab a cup of coffee and come sit with us. Coffee & Connections, hosted by Todd and Kelly Lester, is an informal Sunday-night gathering built around good conversation, warm drinks, and Christ-centered friendship.
Our summer schedule is three Sundays — three fascinating lives from Scripture, drawing on Chuck Swindoll’s Fascinating Stories of Forgotten Lives:
- Sunday, May 3 — Abraham: The Father Who Released His Son
- Sunday, June 14 — Samuel: The Boy Who Heard God’s Voice
- Sunday, July 12 — Abigail: The Woman Who Saved Her Husband’s Neck
6:00–7:00 p.m. at the Cross Center Lobby. Open to men and women. Childcare is provided in the Children’s Wing — parents, bring the kids and settle in. No signup needed — come every week or just when you can.
Want to read ahead? Totally optional.
Every session stands on its own — show up cold and you’ll be just fine. But if you’d like to dig in beforehand, here’s where we’re headed:
May 3 — Abraham · Genesis 22:1–19
The test on Mount Moriah — and what it means to surrender our “Isaac,” the thing we love most, into God’s hands.
June 14 — Samuel · 1 Samuel 3:1–21
A boy with a heart open to God’s voice — “Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.”
July 12 — Abigail · 1 Samuel 25:1–35
An unfair boss, a strained marriage, and a great-hearted woman whose courage saved her husband’s neck.
If you’d like a copy of the book, you can grab one from Insight for Living — but you don’t have to. Every session is fully self-contained. Pastor Swindoll’s original broadcasts are also free to listen to anytime: Abraham · Samuel · Abigail.
