Roadrunners will travel to Louisville for lunch at the historic Brown Hotel, home of the famous Hot Brown sandwich.
In the 1920s, the Brown Hotel hosted popular dinner dances that drew more than 1,200 guests each evening. Late at night, guests would head to the restaurant for something to eat. Chef Fred Schmidt created a new dish for them—an open-faced turkey sandwich with bacon and a delicate Mornay sauce. The Hot Brown was born and has since become a Louisville tradition.
The group will enjoy lunch together at J. Graham’s Café inside the Brown Hotel.
