Roadrunners: Historic Boone Tavern & Buc-ee’s

Roadrunners will travel to Berea, Kentucky for lunch at the historic Boone Tavern Hotel & Restaurant, followed by a stop at Buc-ee’s on the way back.

Built in 1909, Boone Tavern was constructed at the suggestion of Nellie Frost, the wife of Berea College president William G. Frost. As Berea College’s reputation grew, so did the number of visitors coming to the area. Boone Tavern has welcomed guests for more than a century, including the Dalai Lama, Henry Ford, President and Mrs. Calvin Coolidge, Eleanor Roosevelt, Maya Angelou, and Robert Frost.

The group will enjoy lunch together at the Boone Tavern restaurant.
