Salvation

Anyone who comes to Jesus for salvation must have at least a basic understanding of who He is and how He meets our needs for salvation. Here is what the Bible teaches concerning salvation:

God Loves You

“For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”   John 3:16

We Are All Sinners

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”   Romans 3:23

God Has A Remedy For Sin

“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”   Romans 10:13

Your Assurance As A Believer

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”   Romans 10:9

To experience salvation we must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

A Prayer to Receive Christ

Dear God, I confess that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to save me of my sin. Thank you God for saving me. I love you Jesus. Amen.

Below are some important next steps to take on your new journey of following Jesus Christ.

Get Baptized

Your public outward confession of faith is an important part of your inward faith. We encourage you to express this inward faith outwardly by getting baptized as your first step of obedience.

Unite With a Local Body of Believers

We hope you’ll consider membership at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church.

Get Involved

God created us to be in community with other people—to be supported, encouraged, and challenged in our journey with Christ. At Forks we offer groups and classes for all ages and stages of life.
