In the second week of our series, "Putting on the Armor," we turn to the first piece of the armor: the belt of truth. We are to stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around our waists. The belt was an important, foundational piece of armor for the soldier just as speaking the truth is foundational for us as Christians.

As we come to the end of a great summer, and as we prepare for school to begin, may we put on God’s armor. We often buy “back to school” clothes and supplies at this time. But may we be clothed with the greatest outfit of all, the armor of God. We will be looking at the importance for us as Christians to clothe ourselves with God’s armor and how it can protect us from Satan’s attacks. You don’t have to buy this armor, it’s free!
