Homecoming 231

Come join us as the Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church, celebrates its 231st year of continuous service to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  The weekend has several events scheduled for a multi-day celebration. 

May 31st, 6:00 PM -8:00 PMPrayer Time at the Chapel

We will open the “Chapel” for a time of prayer and thanksgiving. Forks was born from prayer and continues to be known as a praying church.  Come join us for prayer, thanksgiving, and reflection where revival started twenty-one years ago.  Stay as little as you want or as long as you need.  Our doors are open.

June 1, 10:00 AM -2:00 PM Bill Godby Memorial Car Show

Forks is excited to once again host the Capital City Classic Auto Club and Frankfort Mustangs Club car show honoring one of our own.  Bill was a special individual who touched many lives.  Come out, see all the cars and be a part of this special time.  You can also help this event by bringing a cake or baked good for the Cake Walk.  Just drop off your favorite delicacy at the Fellowship Hall, Friday 6:00 PM-8:30 PM.

June 2, 8:30 AM & 11:00 AMCelebration Sunday Worship Services

Join us for our Homecoming Worship services as we celebrate what God has done here over these 231 years.  Dakotah Euton, Assistant Area Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Central Kentucky, will deliver the message on this historic day.

Come join us in the Fellowship Hall for a time of renewing friendship, sharing memories and enjoying fellowship over lots of good food.

June 2, 2:15 PM – Wreath-Laying Ceremony at Rev. William Hickman’s Grave.

We will honor our Founding Father and First Pastor, Rev. William Hickman in a brief ceremony at his grave in the DAR Lot of the Frankfort Cemetery. A procession will leave from the Church at 2:00 PM for the 2:15 PM ceremony.
