|Scripture: John 14:1-6|
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
1. Have you felt troubled or heavy-hearted during this pandemic? If so, describe what you are feeling. Why do you think the disciples were troubled?
2. What did Jesus mean when he said “I am the way?” Have you been doubting God lately? Do you try to do things your way or God’s way? What happens when we do things our way versus God’s way?
3. How is the truth of Jesus different than the world’s truth? How does the truth of Jesus set us free?
4. How would you define what “real life” is? What is the only way to get to God our Father? How have you prepared for what’s ahead?
